Mary Anne Funk is working in conjunction with Hazelnut Grove , to document their journey and stories over this next year through the use of photography, audio, and video. This is a year long documentary series. There will be stories about the community as a whole and individual stories, showing the human story. Only those who agree to be photographed, interviewed, or filmed will appear in print and online.
Hazelnut Grove: A community of people who are houseless, coming together to help each other survive: Truly the way we should be as a society. This year long journey is for helping Hazelnut Grove raise awareness, open dialogue, and raise funds for their ongoing sustainability, and to help redefine our perceptions of homelessness and poverty.
As I document Hazelnut Grove over this next year, I will provide the videos, stories, and photos to Hazelnut Grove for their use online, in presentations, in newsletters, etc. I will also be putting together portfolio books with prints for the community to have on site.
