Michael knows first hand what it is like to be houseless and how it feels when people in the community care.

Michael is a housemate with myself and others, in the Anawim Christian Community home. Anawim Christian Community is a non-for-profit organization providing services for the homeless, low income, and mentally ill community.

Members of the Anawim Community Home either pay rent or work in exchange for rent in Anawim’s various services. Michael spends every Friday doing repairs and coordinating volunteers at Anawim’s sanctuary in Gresham.
